Ultimate Fighter Finale Free Picks

The Ultimate Fighter season 13 is coming to a close with the finale set for Saturday. Here are our free picks.

Clay Guida +145 vs. Anthony Pettis -175

Anthony Pettis is an excellent fighter and he is a crowd pleaser with his style. But on Saturday night he runs into the non-stop buzzsaw that is Clay Guida. Look for Guida to repeatedly take Pettis down and pound on him. It might take a decision, but Guida will win this. Take Guida +145

Ramsey Nijem -140 vs. Tony Ferguson +110

Ferguson made himself a villain of sorts with his drunken fit in the TUF house. Nijem went around taking his clothes off all the time. Which is worse? You make the call! And the call on this fight? Based on what we saw on the show I would say that Nijem will take this. Take Nijem -140

Fabio Maldonado +160 vs. Kyle Kingsbury -200

Kingsbury is a former TUF contestant that sort of lives on the fringe of the UFC. You don’t hear too much about him and you probably can’t remember his fights. But he is very skilled and hungry. Maldonado beat TUF fighter James McSweeney at UFC 120, but he’ll lose this one. Take Kingsbury -200.

Ed Herman -110 vs. Tim Credeur -120

Excellent matchup of two former TUF contestants, both badly needing wins to possibly remain in the UFC. The difference in the fight will be on the ground, and that’s where Credeur is better than Herman. I look for Credeur to submit Herman and get the W. Take Credeur -120.

Danny Downes +250 vs. Jeremy Stephens -350

Downes looks more like a news reporter than a fighter, but he has proven his gameness over and over in the WEC. Now he gets his first shot in the UFC after Jonathan Brookins withdrew from the bout with Stephens. Downes is an exciting young fighter, but I think Stephens will overpower him and pound out a decision win. Take Stephens -350.

George Roop +325 vs. Josh Grispi -450

Josh Grispi may be known as “The Fluke”, but the only fluke in his career was his loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 125. Gripsi will become a title contender sooner rather than later, with Roop as the first obstacle in his way to go down. Take Grispi -450.

Ken Stone +325 vs. Scott Jorgensen -450

The last time we saw Stone he was slammed and knocked out by title contender Eddie Wineland at WEC 53. Now he gets another contender in Scott Jorgensen. So you wanna be an ultimate fighter? Tough break for Stone, who might be headed back to fighting regionally after Jorgensen destroys him. Take Jorgensen -450.
