Tom Brady Undergoes Surgery, Will Miss Pro Bowl Game

The New England Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady underwent surgery on his right foot on Thursday. The quarterback is said to be “doing great”, and will be in a walking boot for the next six weeks.

The quarterback, who finished the season last Sunday with a disappointing playoff loss to the Jets is expected to be named the Most Valuable Player in the NFL this season. Brady was voted to the 2011 Pro Bowl Game, but will be replaced by former teammate Matt Cassell.

Brady completed nearly 66% of all his passes on the season. The Patriots leader tossed for 3900 yards and 36 touchdowns during the regular season. Brady threw just four interceptions the entire season. New England finished the regular season with a 14-2 record.

Brady hurt his foot in November, missing a practice on November 10th. The surgery was to heal a stress fracture.
