Sweet 16: Ohio State (1) vs. Kentucky (4)

East Region: Ohio State Buckeyes (1) vs. Kentucky Wildcats (4) Fri. March 25, 2011 9:45 p.m. EST

At this point in the 2011 NCAA Tournament it would be hard to argue that the Ohio State Buckeyes (1) haven’t been the best college basketball team during March Madness. With this team being as resilient as any in this tourney and playing at an extremely high level right now, the Ohio State Buckeyes (1) look like the favorite to win it all as there really doesn’t seem to be a team left in the 2011 NCAA Tournament that can compete with them for two halfs of basketball.

Even though Jared Sullinger and company are playing as good as any team left in the tournament right now, there is still that upset factor that can strike at anytime. On Friday night, the Ohio State Buckeyes (1) will take on John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats (4) in what could be their toughest challenge yet this season.

In their first game of the tournament, the Kentucky (4) struggled against Princeton, but since then they have gotten back to form and could give Ohio State (1) a run for their money. Unfortunately for Calipari, I don’t believe his squad can compete with the Buckeyes and will fail to reach the Elite Eight.

The Ohio State Buckeyes (1) are favored to win this game with a -5.5 point spread.
