The NFL season has been pretty entertaining so far, but week 10 had by far the best game of the year with Peyton Manning’s undefeated Indianapolis Colts taking on their arch rivals in Tom Brady’s New England Patriots.

Every time the Colts and Patriots go head to head in the regular season or in the playoffs it turns out to be an epic battle between two teams and two quarterbacks that just hate to lose to one another. This season the Patriots had their fair share of struggles early on with an injured Wes Welker and a shaky Tom Brady, but they have gotten back to form as of late and showed they are still one of the best teams in the league Sunday night against their rivals.

The Colts on the other hand have been red hot this season as they have just dominated in the first eight games of the season. The true test of whether or not Peyton Manning and company were title contenders this season was this matchup against the Patriots and they failed to disappoint.

New England dominated for the majority of the game on the Sunday night as Tom Brady, Wes Welker and Randy Moss were all on the same page and lighting up the scoreboard, but in the second half Peyton Manning was able to lead his boys back in comeback fashion and pull within striking distance near the end of the fourth quarter.

The biggest play of the game came on fourth and two possession by the New England Patriots late in the fourth quarter where Bill Belichick made the decision to go for it after burning two timeouts. Unfortunately, it was the wrong move that has been heavily criticized and cost the Patriots the game as the Colts took over and Manning led Indianapolis on the game winning scoring drive which ended with a Reggie Wayne touchdown and four seconds left on the game clock.

The Colts ended up winning the game 35-34 and kept their undefeated record intact at 9-0!

Here is a breakdown of the best games of week 10:

Denver Broncos @ Washington Redskins: 27-17 Redskins

The Broncos have really started to struggle as of the late and as a result have lost their third straight game in a row against the lowly Redskins. Not only has Denver lost their third straight game, but they may have lost quarterback Kyle Orton for awhile as he suffered a ankle injury.

If the Broncos can’t get it together and get it together quickly, the San Diego Chargers will take control of the AFC West and jeopardize Denver’s chances of winning the division.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Pittsburgh Steelers: 18-12 Bengals

The AFC North is the toughest division in the AFC right now and this game between arguably the best two teams in the division was perhaps the most important game of the season for the Bengals and the Steelers as the division was on the line.

The Bengals failed to disappoint in this one despite losing running back Cedric Benson to injury. The Cincinnati came to play and were able to contain Big Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh offense to just 12 points.

With this win over the Steelers the Bengals have basically wrapped up the AFC North and should just cruise to the playoffs this season. The Steelers on the other hand will most likely be looking to just clinch a Wildcard.

Other notable games in week 10:

Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers: 17-7 Packers

Philadelphia Eagles @ San Diego Chargers: 31-23 Chargers

New Orleans Saints @ St. Louis Rams: 28-23 Saints
