NCAA College Football Power Rankings 22nd November 2010

1. Oregon Ducks (10-0) – Ducks had the week off, and are now preparing for a weekend tilt with Arizona. Just two wins away from the national title game.

2. Auburn Tigers (11-0) – Also with the week off. Will have to win two very tough games to get to the national title game. First, this weekend against Alabama, followed by the SEC title game against South Carolina.

3. Boise State Broncos (10-0) – Blasted Fresno State on Friday night. Now will look to show the nation how good they are, as they take on the Nevada Wolf Pack.

4. Texas Christian University (11-0) – The Horned Frogs had the weekend off. Despite their impressive season, they look to be on the outside looking in with it comes to national title game. The Horned Frogs will take on the hapless Lobos of New Mexico this weekend.

5. Wisconsin Badgers (10-1) – A week after scoring 83 points, the Badgers added 49 more against Michigan on Saturday. With the win, Wisconsin remains in a three way tie for the top of the Big Ten. Wisconsin holds the head-to-head advantage over Ohio State, but not Michigan State.

6. Ohio State Buckeyes (10-1) – The Buckeyes used a late score to down Iowa on Saturday. Now will need to beat Michigan State, and hope for losses from Wisconsin and Michigan State to advance to second straight Rose Bowl.

7. LSU Tigers (10-1) – Narrowly escaped with a win over Mississippi on Saturday. Now need to beat Arkansas to reach a BCS bowl game.

8. Stanford Cardinals (10-1) – Stanford continued to impress with their blow-out win at California. Now the Cardinals will look to finish their regular season with win #11 when they take on Oregon State.

9. Alabama Crimson Tide (9-2) – The defending national champions won big on Thursday night. The win was their 9th of the season. They will look for #10 and a chance to ruin the Auburn Tigers national title hopes on Friday.

10. Oklahoma State Cowboys (10-1) – Mike Gundy and the Cowboys got off to a slow start, but eventually blew out Kansas on Saturday. Now Oklahoma State will look to win the Big 12 – South with a win this weekend over Oklahoma.

11. Michigan State Spartans (10-1) – Michigan State used 22 points in the fourth quarter to down the Purdue Boilermakers. Michigan State remains in a tie with Wisconsin and Ohio State at the top of the Big Ten. With a win over Penn State and a Ohio State loss to Michigan, the Spartans will head to the Rose Bowl.

12. Arkansas Razorbacks (9-2) – Ryan Mallett and Arkansas needed overtime, but were able to down Mississippi State. The Razorbacks will seek their 10th win on Saturday in a battle against LSU.

13. Virginia Tech Hokies (9-2) –The Hokies won their ninth straight on Saturday over Miami. Now will look to make it ten with a win over Virginia. Also will look for who their opponent will be in the ACC title game; North Carolina State or Florida State.

14. Oklahoma Sooners (9-2) – The Sooners were impressive in their win over Baylor. Now, Oklahoma will look to win the Big 12 South with a win over Oklahoma State on Saturday.

15. Nevada Wolf Pack (10-1) – The Wolf Pack won their 10th game of the season. Now will look to win the Western Athletic Conference, and knock Boise State from the ranks of unbeaten this weekend.

16. Texas A+M Aggies (8-3) – The Aggies stayed hot, holding Nebraska to just two field goals in the 3 point win. Texas A+M will have a short turn around as they take on the Texas Longhorns on Thanksgiving Day.

17. Nebraska Cornhuskers (8-2) – Nebraska lost Taylor Martinez and the game on Saturday night. Martinez is questionable for this week’s game with Colorado. Now, if Nebraska can beat Colorado they will still win the Big 12 – North.

18. Missouri Tigers (9-2) – The Tigers shut-out the Iowa State Cyclones on Saturday to pick up win #9. Now, the Tigers look for a win over Kansas on Saturday and hope for Nebraska loss to win the Big 12 – North.

19. Northern Illinois Huskies (9-2) – One of the under looked teams in the country – the Northern Illinois Huskies. The Huskies beat Ball State bad over the weekend to advance to win #9. Northern Illinois will play their regular season finale Saturday against Eastern Michigan.

20. South Carolina Gamecocks (8-3) – The Gamecocks buried the Troy Trojans on Saturday. In the win, the Gamecocks scored 69 points. South Carolina will now take on rival Clemson this weekend, before playing in the SEC title game on December 4th.

21. Arizona Wildcats (7-3) – Arizona did not play this weekend. The Wildcats will now look to upset the top ranked Oregon Ducks this weekend.

22. North Carolina State Wolf Pack (8-3) – North Carolina State was able to beat their state rival North Carolina. Now with a win over Maryland, the Wolf Pack would win the ACC – Atlantic Division, and take on Virginia Tech on December 4th.

23. West Virginia Mountaineers (7-3) – The Mountaineers beat Louisville 17-10 on Saturday. Now, on Friday, West Virginia and Pittsburgh will play in a key Big East thriller.

24. Florida State Seminoles (8-3) – Florida State downed Maryland to seal at least a tie in the Atlantic Coast Conference – Atlantic Division. The problem for Florida State is their loss to North Carolina State earlier in the season. The Seminoles need a Maryland win over the Wolf Pack to advance to the ACC title game on December 4th. Before that, Jimbo Fisher’s crew will battle Florida on Saturday.

25. Florida Gators (7-4) – The Gators are 7-4 with four losses to ranked foes. Now Florida will look to win their 8th game of the regular season on Saturday against their big rival Florida State.
