Preview: The San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies will play the final game of a three game series at Coors Field on Sunday. This game is a huge one for both teams, as the Giants are leading the National League West and the Rockies are in both the west race and also the wildcard chase. The Giants won Friday night behind Tim Lincecum to keep the ½ game lead in the division. San Francisco is sending Barry Zito to the mound on Saturday, and then on Sunday they will turn to Matt Cain. Cain is 12-10 on the season, and has an ERA of 3.00. The 25 year old has won his last three decisions. The Giants are led offensively by outfielder Aubrey Huff, who is batting .285, along with 25 homeruns and 84 runs batted in.

The Rockies are going to need to win a lot and look for some help. After climbing back into the race, Colorado has lost their last five games, and dropped to 4.5 games out of first place. Colorado also trails the Padres for four games for the National League wildcard. T The Rockies rank 9th in baseball with a .265 batting average, and 8th in the game with 166 homeruns. Carlos Gonzalez is having a career year, hitting .340, with 33 homeruns and 113 runs batted in. Gonzalez appears to be in the top two, along with Joey Votto for the National League MVP. The Rockies are sending Jason Hammel to the mound on Saturday, and on Sunday Jorge De La Rosa will get the start. De La Rosa is 8-5 this season with an earned run average of 4.22. The 29 year old from Mexico has won four of his last five decisions.

My Betting Picks: Colorado keeps their fading hopes alive with a breakout game offensively. The Rockies win 10-4.
