Preview: The best rivalry in the game of baseball will continue on Friday, to start a three game series at Yankee Stadium. The Boston Red Sox will take on the New York Yankees. The Red Sox come in 6.5 games behind the Yankees in the American League East. Boston is 6-4 in his last ten games, and has a 28-24 road record. Boston is set to finish their series against the Indians on Thursday night. Adrian Beltre leads the Red Sox with a .337 batting average, while David Ortiz leads the team with 23 homeruns and 72 runs batted in. Boston is fifth in baseball with a .272 batting average. Clay Buchholz will take the mound for the Red Sox. The 25 year old is 11-5 with a 2.79 earned run average on the season. In his career, Buchholz is 23-19.

Taking the mound for the Yankees will be Javier Vazquez. The 34 year old from Puerto Rico is 9-7 on the season, with a 4.61 earned run average. Vazquez is coming off a no decision at Tampa Bay, where he pitched 6.1 innings, and allowed 8 hits and 4 runs. The Red Sox would later win the game 5-4. New York, coming into Friday’s action held a ½ game lead over the Tampa Bay Rays. Tampa Bay just finished winning two out of three at home over the Yankees. New York has seen Robinson Cano bat .325 on the season, along with Mark Teixeira’s 23 homeruns.

My MLB Betting Picks: Yankees win. THE Yankees win. New York 9-4.
