LeBron James says Cavs have the “Edge” Over Other Teams

The NBA free agent market is almost upon us as there is less than month left before free agents around the league can officially start talking with other teams. Even though there will be plenty of high priced talent available this summer that could drastically change the look of the NBA, the one player that everyone has their eyes on is the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James.

During the past two NBA regular seasons, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding LeBron James and his intentions heading into the summer of 2010. Even though everyone has continued to ask LeBron what he will do come July 1st, the two-time NBA MVP has kept his silence and given absolutely no indication on where he might be headed.

Obviously, everyone has wanted LeBron James to break his silence and give us some kind of hint to where he might be leaning towards or a narrowed list of teams he would play for like All-Star forward Chris Bosh did last month, but that hasn’t been the case. At least, until now that is as LeBron James has finally given the media an idea of where his mind is at right now.

When the Cleveland Cavaliers were knocked out in the second round of the playoffs by the Boston Celtics, many people were shocked to say the least as the Cavs were favored to at the very least make it to the NBA Finals, but for the second straight season they failed to live up to expectations and were sent packing much earlier than anticipated once again.

After this devastating loss, many people believed that was the last straw for LeBron James in Cleveland as he may have finally come to the conclusion that he just can’t win with the Cavs. With this being the consensus, the New York Knicks and the Chicago Bulls became his most likely destinations.

Fortunately for Cleveland Cavaliers fans, LeBron James was interviewed by Larry King on his show Larry King Live recently and was asked if Cleveland had “an edge” and responded with the following:

“Absolutely. Because, you know, this city, these fans, I mean, have given me a lot in these seven years. And, you know, for me, it’s comfortable. So I’ve got a lot of memories here. And so it does have an edge,” said LeBron James.

Even though I am sure Cleveland Cavaliers fans are extremely excited about this statement, I believe LeBron still hasn’t told us anything and could still be on his way elsewhere this summer.
