Joe Montana Sighting In The Mission

I pick up a copy of the San Francisco Bay Guardian each week for three reasons: the Tom Tomorrow cartoon, decent events listings and L.E. Leone’s Cheap Eats column. This week’s Cheap Eats column was devoted to seeing former San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Joe Montana not once, but twice in SF’s Mission District. What does one do when one sees a legend hanging around near their apartment?

For Leone’s pretty good answer, click over to the SFBG site.

That vaguely got me thinking about how I was always more of a Steve Young fan, and that Joe Montana was way better than Peyton Manning and how we’ll probably hear some comparisons over the first few Broncos games.
