2011 NCAA Tournament: West Virginia (5) vs. Kentucky (4)

East Region: West Virginia Mountaineers (5) vs. Kentucky Wildcats (4) Sat. March 19, 2011 12:15 p.m. EST

The Kentucky Wildcats (4) may have been one of the most popular and talented college basketball teams in the country last season, but they went through some drastic changes as John Calipari’s starting five all went to the NBA. Fortunately, despite having a depleted roster and without John Wall running the point, the Wildcats have found a way to win once again.

Make this March Madness a winning one with guaranteed winning picks and predictions from SportsPicksKing!

In their first game of the 2011 NCAA Tournament, the Kentucky Wildcats (4) had their work cut out for them against a surprisingly good Princeton Tigers squad that took this team down to the wire and threatened to pull off the biggest upset of the tournament so far. Even though it looked like the Tigers had a legitimate shot of getting the best of Calipari’s boys, the Wildcats were able to get the win, 59-57.

Even though they were able to get out of their first matchup by the skin of their teeth, the Kentucky Wildcats (4) will have their work cut out for them once again as they will be going up against the West Virginia Mountaineers (5) for a chance to advance to the Sweet Sixteen.

As of right now, the Wildcats have been given the -4 point edge in this matchup and I believe they can cover the spread and advance.
