2011 NCAA Tournament: Marquette (11) vs. Syracuse (3)

East Region: Marquette Golden Eagles (11) vs. Syracuse Orangemen (3) Sun. March 20, 2011 7:45 p.m. EST

The Big East conference is always been extremely tough conference the plan in college basketball as there are so many teams with in the conference that can compete at the highest levels. This season was no different as 11 teams from the Big East conference were able to punch their ticket to the Big Dance, but a few of those teams have already seen their demise after their first matchup in the 2011 NCAA Tournament.

On Sunday night ,two Big East heavyweights will go head-to-head when the Syracuse Orangemen (3) and the Marquette Golden Eagles (11) travel to Newark, New Jersey for a chance to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. coming into this mess if there’s no question that the Orangemen are the better team statistically, but the Golden Eagles are not a team to be taken lightly and do have the potential pull off the upset.

As of right now, the Syracuse Orangemen (3) led by head coach Jim Boeheim has been labeled the favorites with a -4.5 point spread. this bread is right on the money in my opinion as this game could potentially come down to the wire, but in the end Syracuse (3) will be too much for Marquette (11) as Boeheim lead his team back to another Sweet Sixteen.
