You may know Bruce Buffer as the voice of the Octagon, the man that gets you all jacked up for battles as he introduces fighters for the UFC. But Buffer is also a professional poker player and is competing in this year’s World Series of Poker. He recently got his own room at the Luxor in Las Vegas, and that’s where MMA Fix caught up with him.
As Buffer mentioned in the interview, he also has his own shirt. The Bruce Buffer shirt is made by Silver Star, the same company that makes the walkout shirts for UFC greats Anderson Silva, Clay Guida, Jon Jones, Wanderlei Silva and many others.
Buffer is the most dynamic of any of the emcees in MMA or boxing. He creates electricity with his intros, adding his style to intros that hearken back to the gladiator days. It’s good to see he’s enjoying life. We’d wish him best of luck in this year’s tourney, but poker is more about skill than luck. Go get ‘em Bruce!
