Every single season in the NBA when we draw near the NBA trade deadlines, which is on February 18th this year, trades rumors galore started to spread throughout the league. Most of these rumors are just that, rumors, but occasionally there are trade rumors that are right on the money!

I wouldn’t put too much into this NBA trade rumor, but anything seems possible right now when involving the Houston Rockets injury prone superstar guard Tracy McGrady.

Despite McGrady not getting much time on the floor this season, the superstar’s popularity amongst the fans is as strong as it has ever been as McGrady could quite possibly be the starter on Western Conference All-Stars this season.

With that being said, Tracy McGrady can still sell tickets for whatever NBA team he might go to before the NBA trade deadline. The Houston Rockets and the McGrady have come to an agreement to part ways and ever since then the team has been actively seeking a trade with any team willing to take on the superstar’s huge expiring contract.

The one team that seems to have some interest in adding Tracy McGrady to their roster is the Philadelphia 76ers who are amongst the worst teams in the league right now and are in need of a serious personnel change if they expect to turn things around by seasons end.

Even though McGrady is as injury prone as they come in the NBA, the 76ers will be drooling at the thought of having the superstar’s expiring contract and a chance to land a big name free agent in one of the most anticipated free agent markets this summer. It is big stretch that Philly will be able to land one of the big fish in the free agent pool this summer like Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemire, Dwyane Wade or LeBron James, but if the 76ers trade guard Andre Igoudala for Tracy McGrady they will have Igoudala’s contract off the books and an option with McGrady’s expiring contract.

It is uncertain what will happen with Tracy McGrady before the NBA trade deadline on February 18th, but he will almost certainly be moved and Philadelphia could be a likely destination.
