Tiger Woods is single again.  Monday, Tiger and his now ex-wife Elin Nordegren were both in a Panama City, Florida court room — some 375 miles away from the home they shared near Orlando — as their divorce was finalized. Tiger and Elin issued a joint statement through lawyers about sharing custody of their young children, how important their kids were, and that people should respect their privacy because of their kids. No, dollar figures were not released — can’t you respect the privacy of their three-year old?

The divorce may be a very good sign for Tiger’s golf game.  Just take a look at his lifetime statistics:

• Single Tiger: 46 wins, 8 major titles
• Married Tiger: 36 wins, 6 major titles
• Married But Separated Tiger After Car Crash/Scandal: 0 wins, 0 majors

Meanwhile, with the ink still fresh on Tiger’s divorce, at least one of the shameless hussies that Tiger was notoriously canoodling with is already making advances on the world’s number one golfer.  “I feel horrible for him,” Rachel Uchitel said, according to a TMZ source. “He loved [Elin]. But he was in love with me.  I hope he remembers that was real, and reaches out to me. I’d give up everything to be with him again.”

Oh and remember how weird it was that Tiger played in Ireland nine days before the British Open, but then flew back to Florida because he said he needed to spend time with his kids?  According to court documents, he came back to take the American Safety Institute’s four-hour course on “Parent Education and Family Stablization”.

And speaking of family, Elin’s dad is a radio talk show host in Sweden.  He issued a brief statement praising his daughter. “We love Elin, and we are so proud of the grace and strength she has shown during this difficult time,” said her proud papa. “We know that she will come out of this even stronger and has a bright future in front of her.”
