I'm all for a discussion about the merits of Tejada being in a Baltimore uniform (there are plenty who like the move, those who don't); however, insulting fans and the city is a whole other mater. Trust me, the Orioles could have done worse than Tejada. Like some previous posters have noted, you've probably never been to the Baltimore-Washington region. People still care about the Orioles, and much like fans of the other 29 teams in baseball -- they want a winner. Fans may not want to go to Camden Yards for a myriad of reasons, but your attempt at humor just for the sake of it and dissing a region is a bit childish. Don't try to be a comedian and just get to the point. Wow.

Also, we all know the Orioles suck, but we stick by them because we are loyal to the players.... and because we're all waiting for that glorious day that Peter Angelos finally sells the team to someone who actually knows how to run it. That being said, this Tejada deal is an example of Aneglos-driven wastefulness that has riddled this team for decades ($6 mil for a player at the end of his career instead of $6 mil for 3-5 promising up-and-comers.) The Orioles have a very large group of hardcore fans. We understand that we've had 12 losing seasons but the O's have made some very strong plays the last couple years that could make us players in the future.
