Purdue’s Choke-Job Against IU

That, boys and girls, is Purdue’s Kevin Barlow communicating his thoughts on the Indiana Hoosiers’ efforts to beat the Boilermakers. It’s either that, or he’s trying to let everybody know he needs the Heimlich Maneuver done.

Considering the 78-75 win was Purdue’s first in Assembly Hall since 1999, I’m voting for the latter.

Oh look, Barlow’s issued an apology.

“Near the end of our game against Indiana on Thursday, I acted in a way that I deeply regret. I want to apologize to Indiana University, their players and their coaches for my actions. I will use this experience as a learning tool as I continue to grow as a person and a basketball player.”

A better shot of the image in question:

Kevin Barlow

Is a suspension for Barlow next?

If you follow Matt Painter’s response, a “doubtful” response comes to mind: “…and we’ll work with him to reinforce the values that Purdue basketball is built upon.”

Sounds dubious to me.
