Penn State Pulls off Another Upset

The Penn State Nittany Lions are slowly making a statement to the tournament committee that they belong. The Nittany Lions after upset wins over Michigan State and Illinois picked up another on Saturday; downing the Wisconsin Badgers.

Talor Battle led the Nittany Lions in scoring with 22 points. The Badgers in the loss saw their leading scorer Jon Leuer score 18 points.

The win for Penn State allowed them to move to 12-8 on the season and 5-4 in Big Ten play. Penn State is tied in fourth place in conference play with the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Penn State’s next game will come on Tuesday in Campaign against the Fighting Illini of Illinois.

The loss for Wisconsin dropped them to 15-5 overall and 5-3 in Big Ten play. The Badgers are in third place, trailing both Ohio State and Purdue. Wisconsin’s next game is on Tuesday at the Kohl Center against the Purdue Boilermakers.
