Tito Ortiz proved all the doubters wrong by beating Ryan Bader at UFC 132 last weekend, getting him to submit from a guillotine less than 2 minutes into the first round.
So I doubt he’s really concerned — or even interested — that the Bengals wide receiver, Twitter addict and attention-seeker Chad Ochocinco has called him out for a fight.
Surely Ochocinco can’t think that hitting some pads in a gym can enable him to beat Oritz, the former UFC light heavyweight champ. While Ortiz has had a slew of injuries over the past few years, he could probably have surgery and come back the next day and beat Ochocinco to a pulp.
But Ochocinco is more jokester than agitator, especially in the realm of social media. He likes to talking to everyone and even made it a goal to practice with every starting QB in the NFL during the lockout. He recently said he’s almost half way there.
So for his sake, I hope this is all in good fun. Although I know Tito likes money, Dana White likes money and plenty of fans would pay to see Ochocinco get mauled (See Couture vs. Toney). I actually think it’s funny. Will Tito?
