Ochocinco Is Sorry For Your Loss

The Cincinnati Bengals embarrassed themselves on National television Sunday night, getting blanked by the New York Jets 37-0 in their final regular season game. Luckily, they have a rematch coming up in five days in Cincy.

Outspoken wide receiver Chad Ochocinco (seriously, have you read this guy’s book?) apologized up and down to Bengals fans via his Twitter account Monday after his team pumped out just 72 total yards against the Jets, which marks the fewest in franchise history.

Aside from the apology tweet, he also called out Jets safety Kerry Rhodes for smoking him in the head, which is leading to an MRI this afternoon. Good thing they’re buddies, I guess. Ochocinco is also on the lookout for Fireman Ed, the face of the J-E-T-S chants at the Meadowlands, and he’s depending on his Twitter followers to find the guy for him.

Here’s a screen shot from Ocho’s facebook page, where he quotes his grandmother, who apparently never saw the excitement or importance in winning a football game.

The Bengals are a 2.5-point favorite for this Sunday’s first-round playoff game against the Jets, who do not have home field advantage, but may have momentum on their side.

Update: Ochocinco’s Twitter followers have hooked him up with Fireman Ed, who in turn got hooked up to a playoff game!
