Dirk Nowitzki left the game Monday Night with an apparent knee injury. The status of Nowitzki for the future is uncertain. Despite losing their leading scorer; the Dallas Mavericks came from behind to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-93. Nowitzki had 13 points before leaving the game.
Dallas was led in scoring by Shawn Marion. Marion poured in 20 points and added 9 rebounds and a block shot. Kevin Durant, in a losing cause scored 28 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 4 assists.
The win for the Mavericks pushed them to 24-5 on the season. Dallas has won 11 of 12 games away from home this season. Oklahoma City with the loss fell to 21-11; the Thunder are 11-6 when playing at home.
The Mavericks will turn around and play the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night north of the border. It is expected that Nowitzki will sit for the game. Oklahoma City will wait until Wednesday, and then welcome the New Jersey Nets to town for a game.
