The Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers both could to advance to the National League Championship Series with a road win on Wednesday, but a loss would force an all-or-nothing Game 5 back at home on Friday. The Phillies are -117 favorites to beat the St. Louis Cardinals tonight, while the Arizona Cardinals are slim -107 favorites to beat the Brewers.

The Phillies-Cardinals Over/Under is 7.5 runs. Philadelphia and St. Louis combined for 17 runs in Game 1, nine in Game 2 and just five in Game 3. The Milwaukee-Arizona Over/Under is at nine runs. The Brewers and D-Backs combined for five runs in Game 1, 13 in Game 2 and nine on the nose in Game 3.

The Phillies start veteran Roy Oswalt on Wednesday, while the Cardinals counter with Edwin Jackson. The Phillies won two of Oswalt’s last three starts, including a 7-2 win over the Cardinals in Philadelphia. Oswalt’s last start in St. Louis was back in June in a game the Cardinals won 10-2. Overall, St. Louis won two of the three games Oswalt started against them this season. The Cardinals won Jackson’s last three regular season starts. Jackson’s last start against the Phillies came last July, with Philadelphia winning 7-1. During the regular season, the Phillies were 50-31 on the road, while St. Louis was 45-36 at home.

In a battle of lefties in the desert, Milwaukee will start Randy Wolf against Arizona’s Joe Saunders. The Brewers have won two of Wolf’s last three starts, but Wolf took the loss in his two starts against Arizona this year, both back in July at Miller Park. Arizona has won two of the last three games Saunders started, but lost his only start against the Brewers, also in July at Miller Park. The Brewers had a losing record on the road this year at just 39-42, while the Diamondbacks were 51-30 at home.
