Preview: The Chicago Bears will take on the Dallas Cowboys in the home opener for 2010 at Cowboys Stadium. The Bears are coming off a 19-14 win over the Detroit Lions. The win did not come without controversy, as Calvin’s Johnson game winning touchdown catch was called incomplete late in the game. The Bears defense was then able to hold on for the win. In the win, Matt Forte had a huge game, catching 7 passes for 151 yards, and 2 touchdowns, while also rushing 17 times, for 50 yards. Jay Cutler finished his 2010 opener with 23 of 35 completions for 372 yards and 2 touchdowns. Cutler, who threw a career high in interceptions last season, threw just one in the game. Chicago did not allow a single point in the second half, as Jahvid Best rushed for both first half touchdowns.

For Dallas, week 1 was a disaster. The Cowboys lost 13-7 to divisional foe Washington. The Cowboys were hampered by penalties, 12 in all, for 91 total yards. The lone Dallas touchdown was a Tony Romo pass to Miles Austin near the end of the third quarter. The defense for Dallas was pretty solid, allowing just a DeAngelo Hall touchdown, and two field goals. The Cowboys come into action as an 8.5 point favorite, despite being 0-1 on the season.
