Houston Texans (5-9) @ Denver Broncos (3-11)
Time: 4:05 pm EST
Point Spread: Houston Texans -3
Over/Under Line: 49.5
Preview: In a battle of two teams that had high hopes to start the season, and have fallen on hard times – the Houston Texans will visit the Denver Broncos.
Houston has had four losses come in the final minutes or even seconds of the game. The Texans are 5-9, and in last place in the AFC South. Houston has ranked as one of the top offensive teams in the NFL; averaging nearly 400 yards per game. The defense for the Texans has struggled; ranking dead last in passing yards allowed. The Titans, who were one of the worst offensive teams in the NFL; scored 21 first quarter points and 31 points on the day last week against the Texans. Denver has had all sorts of problems this year.
The Broncos come in with a 3-11 record; last place in the AFC West. Denver has lost five straight since the November 14th win over the Kansas City Chiefs. The losses for the Broncos have come by an average of 16 points per game, and have been to three out of five teams currently not in the playoff picture. The Broncos turned to Tim Tebow, rookie quarterback out of Florida last week, and he ran for an early touchdown; but was unable to come away with a win.
