Preview: In a battle between two NFC South foes, the Atlanta Falcons will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Atlanta holds the top record in the NFC, following their win over Green Bay on Sunday. The Falcons are 8th in all of football in rushing. Atlanta has rushed for over 127 yards on the ground. The two Atlanta losses on the season came on the road; at Pittsburgh and at Philadelphia. The Falcons have won five straight games, averaging nearly 30 points in those wins. On the season, the Falcons have scored 276 points and allowed 209. Atlanta is playing the first of three straight games on the road. The Falcons will play at Carolina and at Seattle in the next two weeks.
Tampa Bay lost to Baltimore on Sunday. In the loss, the Buccaneers fell into a tie for the wildcard position in the NFC. Tampa Bay, along with New York, New Orleans and Green Bay are 7-4. The Buccaneers rank as the 9th best defense against the pass. Tampa Bay is allowing teams to throw for just over 200 yards per game. Offensively Mike Williams has emerged as their go to guy. The receiver has caught 45 passes, for 701 yards and 6 touchdowns.
