Best Games of Week 15
Indianapolis Colts @ Jacksonville Jaguars: 35-31 Colts
Coming into week 15 the NFL still had two undefeated teams and a mess in the AFC Wildcard race with eight teams still in the running for the two Wildcard playoffs spots in the AFC.
After week 15, the NFL still has a mess in the AFC Wildcard race, but there is only one team left going for that elusive undefeated season mark in the Indianapolis Colts!
The Jacksonville Jaguars put up a valiant effort against their AFC South division rivals on Thursday night and looked at one point to actually be on the verge of beating Peyton Manning and company for the first time this season, but in the end Manning was just too much for the Jags as he led the Colts back from behind once again by throwing the 65 yard game winning touchdown pass to Reggie Wayne!
Dallas Cowboys @ New Orleans Saints: 24-17 Cowboys
Like I said before, there were two undefeated teams coming into this week, but only one has survived as the Saints have finally fallen at the hands of Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys.
Romo and company have struggled over the last two weeks to close out teams and as a result had lost two straight games coming into this highly anticipated matchup with Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints, but the two losses look like they may have been a big wake up call for America’s team as they just dominated the Saints all game long.
The Saints threatened to comeback they way they have all season long with two late touchdowns in the fourth quarter, but it was just too little, too late for Drew Brees and company as their undefeated season hopes have come to and end.
Oakland Raiders @ Denver Broncos: 20-19 Raiders
Every time AFC West teams go head to head there are bound to be fireworks and that is exactly what happen when the Raiders went into Denver to face the Broncos!
The Denver Broncos are fighting for their playoff lives to finish the season as the San Diego Chargers have already clinched the AFC West division. With that being said every game from here on out is basically a must win situation to stay atop the AFC Wildcard race which is extremely competitive right now to say the least.
Despite the all the pressure to stay alive in the playoff hunt in the AFC, the Broncos failed to come through on Sunday as the Oakland Raiders were able to hang with Josh McDaniels’ squad and finish the game with a game winning touchdown pass from troubled quarterback JaMarcus Russell of all people!
Other notable games in Week 15:
Miami Dolphins @ Tennessee Titans: 27-24 Titans
Atlanta Falcons @ New York Jets: 10-7 Falcons
Green Bay Packers @ Pittsburgh Steelers: 37-36 Steelers
Minnesota Vikings @ Carolina Panthers: 26-7 Panthers
