The Green Bay Packers, as the sixth seed in the NFC, are one win away from reaching the Super Bowl. After barely getting into the postseason, needing wins over the Giants and Bears – Green Bay has played like a team destined in the postseason.
After allowing an early touchdown to the Falcons, Green Bay scored 28 second quarter points to take a 28-14 lead into the locker room. The Packers scored the only two touchdowns of the third period to break the game open 42-14 after three. The fourth period saw Atlanta score a touchdown, and Green Bay use Mason Crosby for two field goals. Green Bay finished the game with a 48-21 win.
Aaron Rodgers threw for 366 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win. The Packers defense held Atlanta’s quarterback Matt Ryan to just one touchdown pass, while intercepting him twice. Ryan was voted to the Pro Bowl game over Rodgers earlier in the season.
The Packers will now play against the Chicago Bears for the NFC Championship title on the 22 of January.
