With three weeks left in the regular season, only four NFL teams have clinched playoff spots: the Patriots, Falcons, Steelers and Bears. With 15 teams still fighting for the last eight playoff spots, we’ve looked at each team’s remaining schedule to project which teams will get in, which teams will be left out, and the playoff seeding in each conference.
Here’s each team’s projections, in order of the current standings:
AFC
1. Patriots (12-2)
Remaining Schedule: @bills W; DOLPHINS W
Projected Finish: 14-2, #1 Seed
Already Clinched Playoff Spot. Need one win to clinch AFC East title and #1 seed.
2. Steelers (10-4)
Remaining Schedule: PANTHERS W; @browns W
Projected Finish: 12-4, #2 Seed
Already Clinched Playoff Spot. Need one more win and one more Ravens loss to win AFC North and at least a first-round bye.
3. Chiefs (9-5)
Remaining Schedule: TITANS W; RAIDERS W
Projected Finish: 11-5, #3 Seed
Need one more win and one more Chargers loss to win AFC West.
4. Colts (8-6)
Remaining Schedule: @raiders W; TITANS W
Projected Finish: 10-6, #4 Seed
5. Ravens (10-4)
Remaining Schedule: SAINTS W; @browns W; BENGALS W
Projected Finish: 12-4, #5 Seed
Can clinch a playoff spot with a win, or with losses by the Jaguars or Colts AND by the Chiefs or Chargers.
6. Jets (10-4)

Projected Finish: 12-4, #6 Seed
Can clinch a playoff spot with a win or a loss by the Colts or Jaguars.
7. Chargers (8-6)

8. Jaguars (8-6)
Remaining Schedule: REDSKINS W; @texans W
Projected Finish: 10-6, OUT
9. Raiders (7-7)

Already Clinched NFC North and at least the #3 seed.
3. Eagles (10-4)
Remaining Schedule: VIKINGS W; COWBOYS W
Projected Finish: 12-4, #2 Seed
Need one win or Giants loss to clinch NFC East and at least the #3 seed. Can also clinch playoff spot with one Buccaneers loss.
4. Rams (6-8)
Remaining Schedule: 49ERS L; @seahawks L
Projected Finish: 6-10, OUT
5. Saints (10-4)
Remaining Schedule: @falcons W; BUCCANEERS W
Projected Finish: 12-4, #5 Seed
Need one win or one Buccaneers loss to clinch a playoff spot.
