NFL Playoff Picks: New Orleans Saints vs. Seattle Seahawks

New Orleans Saints (11-5) @ Seattle Seahawks (7-9)

Time: 4:30 pm EST

Point Spread: New Orleans Saints -10.5

Over/Under Line: 44.5

Preview: The New Orleans Saints will head to Seattle to take on the Seahawks in the game featuring the NFC wildcard #5 and the NFC West winner.

New Orleans loss did not make a difference in the divisional standings, as they had the playoff spot wrapped up regardless. The Saints are the third best passing team in the NFL; led by Drew Brees and his 4620 passing yards. Despite being riddled by injuries, the Saints played a stretch of four games in November and December scoring 30 points or more. The defending Super Bowl champions finished the season with a 6-2 road record; with losses at Arizona and Atlanta. New Orleans has never won a road playoff game in the history of the franchise.

Seattle won the NFC West under first head coach Pete Carroll. Despite losing five of their last seven and three of their last four the Seahawks won the division with a 7-9 record. Seattle downed the St. Louis Rams on Sunday Night 16-6 to seal the division. The Seahawks went with quarterback Charlie Whitehurst in the win, taking the place of Matt Hasselbeck. Whitehurst threw a touchdown pass to Mike Williams during the first drive of the game, which proved to be all they would need. Marshawn Lynch leads the rushing attack for the Seahawks this season with 573 yards and 6 touchdowns on the year.
