Week seven in the NFL has arrived and we have had some surprises throughout the season thus far with some surprisingly good teams like the Denver Broncos and the Cincinnati Bengals and of course the usual dominate teams like Peyton Manning’s Indianapolis Colts and Drew Brees’ New Orleans Saints.
This week features some very intriguing matchups like the Minnesota Vikings taking the defending champion Pittsburgh Steelers and the Atlanta Falcons going to Texas to go head to head against Tony Romo and company in the Cowboys new billion dollar stadium.
Even though these two games are arguably the most entertaining and most anticipated this weekend in the NFL, which matchups should you be betting on in week seven?
NFL Locks of the Week
Indianapolis Colts -13.5 over the St. Louis Rams
Despite the changes with the Colts in the offseason Peyton Manning has his team playing better than ever with a trio of reliable wide receivers. He may not be putting up number like Drew Brees with the New Orleans Saints, but I guarantee we will see Peyton go off in week seven against the lowly St. Louis Rams. The Colts should win this matchup by at least two touchdowns so you can’t go wrong betting on the Colts to cover this weekend.
Green Bay Packers -8 over the Cleveland Browns
No team has been worse than the Cleveland Browns this season. The quarterback has no receivers to throw to, especially after the Browns traded Braylon Edwards to the Jets, the running game is pretty much the only thing they have going for them with Jamal Lewis and that isn’t saying much. The Packers on the other hand are coming off a 26 point win over the Detroit Lions in week six and will look to continue their offensive dominance over the Browns in week seven. The Packers should cover the spread fairly easy in this one.
New Orleans Saints -6 over the Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins are a good football team, but there is no way they are going to be able to contain Drew Brees and the Saints offense this weekend. The New York Giants were the best defense in the NFL, up until last weekend, and Drew Brees tore them up for 48 points so how are the Dolphins going to contain Brees?
Impossible! This is perhaps the best pick of the week as this six point spread is practically gold for any sports bettor. Expect Brees and company to cover this spread by a mile!
