It has been very entertaining NFL season thus far with a lot great teams and competitive matchups that keep us glued to the screen on Sundays and Monday night.Week six in the NFL will be no exception as there are some must see matchups like another battle of the unbeatens when the 5-0 New York Giants take on the 4-0 New Orleans Saints.
Along with that must see matchup we have the Baltimore Ravens taking on Brett Favre’s undefeated Minnesota Vikings, Jay Cutler’s Chicago Bears trying to stay red hot against Matt Ryan’s impressive Atlanta Falcons and finally the Denver Broncos putting their 5-0 record on the line against their hated division rival in the San Diego Chargers.
Those are the key matchups of the week in the NFL in my opinion, but the outcomes could go either way in each one of these games and I would not recommend betting on any of these games. Instead you should go with more of a sure thing and make the smart bet by betting on the following:
NFL Locks of the Week
Green Bay Packers -15 over the Detroit Lions
This game will be an absolute massacre in my opinion! Not only is Aaron Rodgers due to go off this week against a very poor Lions defense, but Detroit will most likely be without the only two players that can points on the scoreboard with both rookie quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Calvin Johnson sitting out with knee injuries.
Sounds crazy to bet on more then a two touchdown spread, but this game is a lock in my opinion!
Pittsburgh Steelers -15 over the Cleveland Browns
Again this is another game in which has a huge spread, but the Steelers are guaranteed to go off on the Browns who are about as bad as they come this season in the NFL. Last week Browns quarterback Derek Anderson threw for just 20 yards all game long and that was against the Buffalo Bills.
Can you imagine what the Steelers will do to him?
Not only will the Steelers just destroy Eric Mangini’s squad, but it looks like the Pittsburgh defense will get a huge boost this week as safety Troy Polamalu could be getting back on the field in week six. It that is the case this will almost certainly be a shutout while the Steelers offense has a field day.
Philadelphia Eagles -13.5 over the Oakland Raiders
This game will potentially be the biggest blowout of the week in the NFL. The Eagles offense will demolish the Raiders defense! The Oakland defense looked impressive in the first couple of weeks, but because the offense is so terrible the defense never seems to get off the field and plays exhausted all game long.
As a result the Eagles should light up the scoreboard on Sunday and easily cover the two touchdown spread. Not only will the offense be putting up big points, but I except the Eagles defense to possibly get in the endzone as well by forcing JaMarcus Russell into making some terrible decisions.
