NFL Locks of the Week
Oakland Raiders +3 over the Cleveland Browns
Last week the Oakland Raiders pulled off another big upset over the Denver Broncos as they were able to win the game with a game winning touchdown pass from JaMarcus Russell in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter.
This week the Raiders will be going up against the lowly Cleveland Browns and even though it is still uncertain who will be starting at quarterback for the silver and black, they are without a doubt playing at a high enough level right now to make quick work of arguably the worst team in the NFL who will be without their starting quarterback Brady Quinn.
Denver Broncos +7.5 over the Philadelphia Eagles
Desperate times call for desperate measures as the Denver Broncos could possibly be on their way to another disappointing finish to the season missing the playoffs yet again with a late season collapse.
The Broncos are leading the way in the AFC Wildcard race right now, but they will have to keep the wins coming in the last two weeks of the season if they plan to hold all the teams in the hunt for the final two playoff spots in the AFC.
The Philadelphia Eagles have been red hot as of late with five straight wins, but I believe the Broncos will be able to give Donovan McNabb a run for their money this week. The Broncos might not win this matchup, but I believe it will be game that will come down to the wire and quite possibly end with a game winning field goal
Minnesota Vikings -7 over the Chicago Bears
The Minnesota Vikings have really struggled as of late with two losses in the last three games. Once again all the media has turned it’s attention to Brett Favre as it has been rumored that there have been problems with the future hall of fame quarterback and Vikings head coach Brad Childress.
Regardless of the turmoil, or supposed turmoil in Minnesota, I believe the Vikings will get right back on track this week against the division rival Chicago Bears who have played awful over the second half of the season.
Rivalry games like this are always close, but this time I think we will see the Vikings blowout the Bears as they attempt to get back to form before the playoffs.
