NFL Locks of the Week
New England Patriots -7 over Buffalo Bills
The New England Patriots have had some serious problems as of late as they have struggled to get back to form, but despite not playing up to their potential lately, they have still been able to stay in contention in the AFC and will most likely be on their way to a AFC East title.
This week Tom Brady and company will go up against the lowly Buffalo Bills who might be without their best player in superstar wide receiver Terrell Owens.
As of right now the spread for this game is a -7 in favor of the New England Patriots. Personally, I can’t believe the spread is so low even though Tom Brady and Randy Moss aren’t exactly on the same page right now.
Regardless of the Patriots chemistry problems at the time being, I believe they will cover this spread pretty easily.
Minnesota Vikings -9 over Carolina Panthers
The Minnesota Vikings are coming off a big win over the Cincinnati Bengals where Brett Favre and company were able to get their offense back on track. Favre’s squad was able to clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Bengals last week, but they still haven’t won the NFC North title just yet.
This week Brett Favre will lead his Vikings against the Carolina Panthers who have struggled to say the least this season. As of right now Minnesota is the nine point favorite and the way the Vikings have been lighting up the scoreboards, I believe the Minnesota will cover the spread against the Panthers.
New York Giants -1 over Washington Redskins
Both the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins have really struggled this season and are in third and fourth place in the always competitive NFC East division. This weekend the two teams will face off in a division battle where the Redskins will basically have nothing to play for and the Giants will be looking to increase their chances of clinching a NFC Wildcard spot.
Last week the Giants put up a fight against the first place Philadelphia Eagles, but their defense continued to let them down as Donovan McNabb and company basically scored at will. This week the Giants will be looking to redeem themselves against the lowly Redskins and that they will in my opinion and by a convincing margin.
