
Every football fan will be looking forward to the New England Patriots taking on the Indianapolis Colts this weekend, but that is not a game you want to bet on this week because the game could easily go either way even though the Colts are undefeated through the first eight weeks of the season.
So my advice, don’t risk betting on either the Colts or the Patriots this weekend and check out my NFL Locks of the Week below!
NFL Locks of the Week
New Orleans Saints -13.5 over the St. Louis Rams
The Saints had another close call last week when the Carolina Panthers dominated New Orleans in the first half, but then Drew Brees and company do what they do best by putting a lot of points on the board in the second half to cruise to a 30-20 victory.
This week the Saints should have it easy against arguably the worst team in NFL in the St. Louis Rams. All the Saints have to do is beat the lowly Rams by two touchdowns this week to cover the spread and I think that will happen and then some. Taking the Saints to cover in this game is no brainer!
Denver Broncos -3 over the Washington Redskins
The Denver Broncos have struggled as of late by losing two straight games to the Baltimore Ravens and the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite losing two in a row after winning the first six games of the season, Josh McDaniels will without doubt have his boys back on track this week against the two win Washington Redskins.
The Broncos haven’t been a team to put up big numbers this season, but they will almost certainly beat this three point spread against the Redskins. Not only does Washington have one of the worst offensives in the NFL right now, but they will be without their best offensive player against Denver as running back Clinton Portis will be watching from the sidelines with a concussion.
The Redskins might be able to keep this game close in the first half, but the Broncos will take over in the second half and win this game by at least a touchdown or two.
Atlanta Falcons -1 over the Carolina Panthers
The Falcons haven’t really recovered from the loss to the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints, but they are still one of the best teams in the NFC this season and will prove just how good their offense can be against the Carolina Panthers this week.
The Panthers might have been able to give the undefeated Saints a run for their money last week, but this week look for the Falcons to cover the spread big time as they will almost certainly put up a big number on the struggling Panthers. The one point spread is a joke in my opinion!
