NFL Locks of the Week: 2 Free Picks for the Divisional Round

NFL Locks of the Weeks

Indianapolis Colts -7 over the Baltimore Ravens

Peyton Manning and company got a week off before they were set to play their first playoff game, but the time has arrived to show whether or not the Colts are a good as they have been throughout the regular season as they go up against one of the best defenses in the league.

Last weekend the Baltimore Ravens embarrassed Tom Brady and the New England Patriots at Foxboro by dominating in the ground game with Ray Rice and completely shutting down the New England with some lockdown defense.

Although last week’s performance was impressive, the Ravens defense will have their work cut out for them in the second round going up against Peyton Manning and company who have their eyes set on being Super Bowl champs once again!

I think the Ravens will give the Colts a run for their money in the first half, but in the second half it will be all Colts as Peyton Manning will put on a show with all his offensive weapons. The point spread as of right now is -7 in favor of Indianapolis and that is a little risky, but I believe Manning and his boys will come through and cover the spread.

San Diego Chargers -9 over the New York Jets

The San Diego Chargers are the hottest team in football right now as they will come into the playoffs against the New York Jets winners of their last 11 games, which is impressive to say the least, but they will face the best defense in the NFL which is sure to test how good Philip Rivers and company really are.

Despite the Jets defense being the best in the league at this point in time, the team as a whole is young and inexperienced and will be in for a serious reality check this weekend against one of the most talented teams in the NFL today.

The Jets will almost certainly show their best stuff in the first quarter and possibly first half of this game against the Chargers, but once the Chargers get settled and shake off the rust of a two week’s worth of rest, the Jets will in for an offensive onslaught that will leave them bruised and beaten by a convincing margin.
