NFL Injuries: Wildcard Weekend

NFL Injuries: Wildcard Weekend

Arizona Cardinals: Anquan Boldin (left ankle, left knee), Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (left knee, toe)

Last week the Arizona Cardinals just got destroyed by their first round opponents in the Green Bay Packers who put up 33 points on the Cardinals. If that lost wasn’t bad enough, Arizona might also be without one of their biggest offense threats this weekend in their second straight game against the Packers as Anquan Boldin (questionable) nurses an ankle and knee injury. Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (questionable) might also miss this game with a left knee and toe injury.

Baltimore Ravens: Joe Flacco (hip), Ed Reed (hip, foot)

After a season of some drastic ups and downs the Baltimore Ravens were able to barely get into the playoffs with a win over the Oakland Raiders in the last regular season game, but now the Ravens will have their work cut out for them going up against the New England Patriots in the first round of the playoffs.

In my opinion, the Ravens will be the team to advance to the second round, but two of their most important players on both sides of the football are a little banged up with Ed Reed (probable) still nursing some injuries and quarterback Joe Flacco (probable) with a sore hip.

Cincinnati Bengals: Chad Ochocinco (knee), Larry Johnson (knee)

Last week was a pretty meaningless game for the Cincinnati Bengals as the New York Jets just dominated them on both sides of the football and pulled off the 37-0 shutout victory. Even though it was a pointless game for the Bengals, they may have suffered some costly injuries with superstar wide receiver Chad Ochocinco (probable) and running Larry Johnson (questionable) both getting hurt.

Dallas Cowboys: Tashard Choice (concussion), Marion Barber (knee), DeMarcus Ware (back)

The past two weeks the Dallas Cowboys have been on a roll as they have just dominated on both offense and especially defense. Unfortunately, the two shutouts of the Washington Redskins (17-0) and the Philadelphia Eagles (24-0) didn’t come without some cost as three of their best players will be a bit banged up coming into their first round matchup with the Eagles.

Running backs Tashard Choice (probable) and Marion Barber (probable) are hurting, but they will take the field this weekend. Defensive end DeMarcus Ware (questionable) has a sore back and is listed as questionable, but he is as tough as they come and will have to in a wheelchair to be out of this game.

Green Bay Packers: Charles Woodson (shoulder)

The Green Bay Packers are red hot coming into the playoffs as they have been arguably the hottest team in the NFC over the second half of the season. Last week they dominated the Arizona Cardinals in a preview of their first round matchup this weekend, but they will have to deal with Charles Woodson (questionable) not being a 100% as he is suffering from a shoulder injury.

Despite Woodson being questionable, the cornerback guarantees he will be playing this weekend.

New England Patriots: Wes Welker (knee), Tom Brady (ribs)

Last week the New England Patriots suffered a major blow to their offense when they saw one of the best wide receivers in Wes Welker (out) go down with a season ending knee injury. If that weren’t bad enough, news has come out that Tom Brady (probable) has three broken ribs, but will still start against the Baltimore Ravens.

New York Jets: David Harris (ankle), Jerricho Cotchery (hip)

The New York Jets  have been on fire as of late and won a huge game last week against the Cincinnati Bengals in order to make it into the playoffs, but they could be without linebacker David Harris (questionable) and wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (questionable) in their rematch against the Bengals.
