NFL Injuries Week 15
Arizona Cardinals: Larry Fitzgerald (knee), Neil Rackers (groin), Mike Gandy (pelvis)
The Arizona Cardinals are on the verge of clinching the NFC West division title, but this week they will try and clinch the title against the Detroit Lions without kicker Neil Rackers (out) and offensive tackle Mike Gandy (out). Superstar wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald (questionable) might also miss this weekend’s matchup against the Lions with a knee injury he sustained against the 49ers last week, Fitzgerald is listed as questionable, but he believes he will be good to go Sunday.
Atlanta Falcons: Matt Ryan (turf toe), Michael Turner (ankle), Roddy White (knee)
It has been a rough couple of weeks for the Falcons as they have been without their starting quarterback Matt Ryan due to a turf toe injury. This week Atlanta might get their franchise quarterback back on the field as he is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. Running back Michael Turner (questionable) and wide receiver Roddy White (probable) are still banged up, but should play Sunday.
Buffalo Bills: Terrell Owens (illness), Gary Byrd (groin)
The Bills can’t wait for this nightmare season to be over with, but they still have a few more games to go. This week they take on the New England Patriots and they might be without their two best players on both sides of the football in Terrell Owens (questionable) and Gary Byrd (questionable).
Carolina Panthers: Jake Delhomme (broken finger)
Jake Delhomme (out) has had arguably his worst season as a pro so far this season, but things have gotten worse for the veteran quarterback as he will sit out against the Minnesota Vikings this weekend with a broken finger.
Minnesota Vikings: Percy Harvin (migraines), Sidney Rice (illness)
The Vikings have already clinched a playoff berth with a win over the Cincinnati Bengals last weekend, but they have yet to win the NFC North division title and will need to keep up their winning ways in order to do so. This weekend Brett Favre and company will face off against the lowly Carolina Panthers, but they could be without two of their biggest offensive threats in wide receiver Sidney Rice (questionable) and rookie wideout Percy Harvin (questionable).
Oakland Raiders: Zach Miller (concussion), Bruce Gradkowski (knee)
The Raiders have played well over the last few weeks, mostly due to quarterback Bruce Gradkowski (out), but they got some bad news this week as they learned that both Gradkowski and tight end Zach Miller (out) will miss this week’s matchup against the Denver Broncos.
Philadelphia Eagles: Brian Westbrook (concussion), Brent Celek (back)
Last week the Eagles were able to claim the top spot in the NFC East division with a win over the New York Giants, but this week they will continue to be without running back Brian Westbrook (out) due to a concussion and could be without tight end Brent Celek (questionable) who is having back problems.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Troy Polamalu (knee)
The Steelers started out this season with high hopes of repeating as Super Bowl champs, but things just haven’t gone their way as they have suffered major injuries to players like safety Troy Polamalu (out) who will miss yet another game this week against the Green Bay Packers.
St. Louis Rams: Stephen Jackson (back, illness), Kyle Boller (illness)
The Rams are having another forgettable season this year and things continue to get worse for St. Louis as running back Stephen Jackson (questionable) and questionable Kyle Boller (questionable) are feeling the effects of injury and illness this week.
Tennessee Titans: Vince Young (hamstring)
Arguably the most exciting team in the NFL right now, the Tennessee Titans are still clinging on to the hopes of clinching a playoff berth through the AFC Wildcard, but from here on out quarterback Vince Young (questionable) will be nursing a hamstring injury.
