Atlanta Falcons’ running back Devonta Freeman proving his worth

Running back Devonta Freeman of the Atlanta Falcons is taking the NFL by storm so far in the 2015 season. The 23-year-old fourth-round draft pick out of Florida State has set a couple of league records already after five weeks of action and the native of Baxley, Georgia has also helped the Falcons to get off to a perfect 5-0 record early in the season.

In week four, Freeman set a modern-day NFL record by becoming the first player to score three touchdowns in his each of first two league starts. The second-year player is also the first player in nine years to score three touchdowns in two consecutive contests. The last person to achieve the feat was LaDainian Tomlinson back in 2006. Freeman added another touchdown in week five and now has eight on the season to currently lead the league.

The NFL realizes it has a great fan base in London and recently signed a 10-year deal to play games at the new stadium of English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. Several records smashed in 107-90 high school football game

It may appear to fans that the defences didn’t bother to show up in a recent American high school football game that finished with a score of 107-90. The game saw Meadville beat DuBois in Pennsylvania on September 11th in a contest which outscored most high school basketball games. The two teams combined for 28 touchdowns and a total of 1,827 yards in offense in an affair that set quite a few new records. In fact, fans who showed up late may have thought Meadville was on the end of a 90-7 beat down since the scoreboard couldn’t handle their three-digit score of 107 and it showed DuBois with 90 points and Meadville with just seven.
