Start ‘Em
Quarterback
Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
History would tell you that starting Romo this week against the Philadelphia Eagles is a bad idea, but with how hot the Cowboys and Romo have been as of late, I believe Tony Romo will finally break out of his funk in big games.
With the NFC East title on the line and the Cowboys playing up to their abilities on both sides of the football over the last two weeks, I think Romo will have a big game and the Cowboys will win the NFC East title this week.
Other notable QBs: Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers; Matt Schaub, Houston Texans; Vince Young, Tennessee Titans
Running Back
Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville Jaguars
It will take a lot of different scenarios to happen in order for the Jaguars to clinch a playoff spot in week 17, but they will still be looking to get the win this Sunday against the lowly Cleveland Browns.
Amongst other things, the Browns have been awful defending the run this season which means that Maurice Jones-Drew should have a big day this weekend against Cleveland.
Other notable RBs: Chris Johnson, Tennessee Titans; Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings; Frank Gore, San Francisco 49ers
Wide Receiver
Brandon Marshall, Denver Broncos
It is desperation time once again for the Denver Broncos this week as they go up against the lowly Kansas City Chiefs in the final week of the regular season.
The New York Jets and the Baltimore Ravens have the two best chances of clinching a playoff berth this weekend as all they need to do in win their games, but the Broncos still have an outside chance of clinch a playoff spot in the AFC Wildcard.
The Chiefs have been awful this season and I am sure their losing ways will continue this weekend against the Broncos, but if Denver expects to win they will have to get Brandon Marshall involved like they have in the last couple of weeks.
Other notable WRs: Andre Johnson, Houston Texans; DeSean Jackson, Philadelphia Eagles; Randy Moss, New England Patriots
Tight End
Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
Witten’s production is down this season with the Dallas Cowboys with the emergence of wide receiver Miles Austin, but this is a big week for the Cowboys going up against the Philadelphia Eagles in the battle of the NFC East title.
Austin will almost certainly have the big numbers this week, but I won’t be surprised to see Witten get a few looks in the endzone.
Other notable TEs: Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers; Fred Davis, Washington Redskins; Jermichael Finley, Green Bay Packers
Kicker
Nate Kaeding, San Diego Chargers
The San Diego Chargers will most likely be taking it easy this week against the Washington Redskins by resting their starters like they would in a preseason game, but they have the potential to put up a lot of points in the first half which would be enough to have Kaeding as your starting kicker.
Other notable Kickers: Matt Prater, Denver Broncos; Rob Bironas, Tennessee Titans; David Akers, Philadelphia Eagles
Defense
Chicago Bears
Last week the Chicago Bears finally showed up on both sides of the football as they handed Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings their fourth loss of the season. This week they will go up against the Detroit Lions who will almost certainly struggle against the Bears.
Other notable Defenses: San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens
