Start ‘Em
Quarterback
Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints may no longer be undefeated after last week’s lost to the Dallas Cowboys, but that won’t stop Drew Brees from having huge day this weekend against the lowly Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Bucs were able to give the Saints a run for their money earlier in the season, but this time around I believe Drew Brees will be looking to get his team back to firing on all cylinders!
Other notable QBs: Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers; Kurt Warner, St. Louis Rams; Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers
Running Back
Chris Johnson, Tennessee Titans
No surprise here as Chris Johnson continues to be red hot coming into week 16′s matchup against the San Diego Chargers on Christmas Day!
The Chargers defense will be a force to be reckoned with for Johnson, but no team in the past nine games against the Tennessee Titans have been able to keep Johnson under 100 yards rushing and I believe the impressive streak will continue as Johnson will torch the San Diego secondary.
Other notable RBs: Frank Gore, San Francisco 49ers; Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings; Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville Jaguars
Wide Receiver
Andre Johnson, Houston Texans
Despite being 7-7 coming into week 16 against the Miami Dolphins, the Houston Texans are still in the race for the last two playoffs spots in the AFC Wildcard. With that being said, Andre Johnson and the Texans still have something to play for and will try to make a game of it against Miami.
Expect Johnson to have another big week with at least 100 yards and a receiving touchdown. The past two weeks Johnson has been on fire with two games of 190+ receiving yards and a two touchdowns.
Other notable WRs: Anquan Boldin, Arizona Cardinals; Marques Colston, New Orleans Saints; DeSean Jackson, Philadelphia Eagles
Tight End
Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
Even though Jason Witten has kind of taken a backseat to wide receiver Miles Austin as Tony Romo’s favorite target in the Dallas Cowboys offense this season, Witten can still put up big numbers on any given Sunday.
This week the Cowboys will look to ride the momentum after handing the New Orleans Saints their first loss of the season last week. Dallas will be going up against the lowly Washington Redskins defense in which Tony Romo should take full advantage of and look for Witten in the endzone.
Other notable TEs: Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers; Heath Miller, Pittsburgh Steelers; Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers
Kicker
Garett Hartley, New Orleans Saints
Who? Yeah, I said the same thing, but this is the guy that will be getting it done for the Saints this week against the Bucs!
Other notable Ks: Jay Feely, New York Jets; Rob Bironas, Tennessee Titans; Graham Gono, Washington Redskins
Defense
Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys are riding high after last Saturday’s big win over the New Orleans Saints, but this week they will have it easy as they go up against the Washington Redskins who have been banged up all season long.
Other notable Defenses: San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers
