Last week we saw yet another epic clash between two of the best teams in the AFC in the past decade in the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots. After a questionable call by arguably the best head coach in the NFL Bill Belichick, the Patriots lost to their arch rivals as they could only watch Peyton Manning march down the field and throw the game winning touchdown to wide receiver Reggie Wayne.
This week we will see a lot of lopsided games with the best of the best taking on the worst of the worst in the NFL which means big numbers for some of best players in the league!
Start ‘Em
QuarterbackTom Brady, New England Patriots
After the Patriots lost to the Colts on a controversial 4th and 2 call by head coach Bill Belichick, New England and Belichick took a lot of heat this week. This week the Pats square off against the New York Jets who beat New England earlier in the year. I fully expect the Patriots and Tom Brady to make an example of the Jets this week by putting up a huge number!
Other notable QBs: Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers; Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers; Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
Running Back
Ricky Williams, Miami Dolphins
With Ronnie Brown out for the season the Dolphins will be looking to Ricky Williams to lead the offense in the ground game. Williams might not be as effective with more carries, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see Williams have over 100+ yards and two or more touchdowns this week against the Carolina Panthers.
Other notable RBs: Chris Johnson, Tennessee Titans; Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville Jaguars; Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
Wide Receiver
Chris Chambers, Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs might be going up against one of the best defenses in the league in the Pittsburgh Steelers in week 11, but Kansas City will be without Dwayne Bowe due to suspension and that means Chambers will be Matt Cassel’s number one target. Chambers has played well in two games with his new team with two touchdowns and 135 yards. Expect Chambers to have some good numbers this weekend.
Other notable WRs: DeSean Jackson, Philadelphia Eagles; Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals; Andre Johnson, Houston Texans
Tight End
Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers
This week the 49ers will go head to head against the Green Bay Packers who are coming off a big win over the Dallas Cowboys. Alex Smith will once again be behind center for San Francisco and he will without a doubt be looking in Davis’ direction in redzone situations this weekend.
Other notable TEs: Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers; Tony Gonzalez, Atlanta Falcons; Dallas Clark, Indianapolis Colts
Kicker
Ryan Longwell, Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings will face off against the lowly Seattle Seahawks this week and are sure to put up some big offensive numbers. That being said expect Longwell to get a lot of action!
Other notable Ks: Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers; John Carney, New Orleans Saints
Defense
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers will go up against arguably one of the worst teams in the NFL this season in the Kansas City Chiefs. In the near future the Chiefs will be a good team in my opinion, but right now they are nothing more than a team that gets hammered by great defenses like the Steelers.
Other notable Defenses: Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, Cincinnati Bengals
