NFL Fantasy Sleeper Report: Week 7

It is week seven in the NFL and in your fantasy football league and this where we separate the men from the boys in fantasy football as this is turning in the season. If you fantasy is struggling, I feel for you, because it will be nothing but an uphill battle for you from here on out!

Even though you might be thinking you are finished in your fantasy league you are mistaken because there is still to turn and be a contender in your league if you make the right moves. All you have do is double check who you’re starting every week and study the free agent in your league.

Here are some fantasy sleepers to look out for in week seven:

Fantasy Sleepers Report Week 7

Quarterback

Matt Cassel, Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs are a disaster right now, but the one player they have headed in the right direction this season is the new face of the franchise in Matt Cassel who has actually played pretty well this year despite their 1-5 record. Cassel has seven touchdowns and only two interceptions this year which is impressive considering what he has to work with. This week might be a breakout week for Cassel as the Chiefs take on the San Diego Chargers in Kansas City. Cassel has played well at home and that should continue in week seven.

Running Back

Jamal Lewis, Cleveland Browns

Even though it is very hard to want to start any Cleveland Browns player this season Lewis could be a sleeper this week as the Browns can simply not depend on the air attack anymore. The Browns will be playing against a good Packers defense, but Lewis will get a good chunk of carries and just might crack the 100 yard mark on Sunday.

Wide Receiver

Lance Moore, New Orleans Saints

Starting any wide receiver on the Saints this season is a good idea just simply for the fact that Drew Brees loves to spread the football around and hit multiple wide receivers for touchdowns. Moore is no exception as he might get one or touchdown grabs in week seven when the Saints take on the Miami Dolphins.

Tight End

Jeremy Shockey, New Orleans Saints

Much like Lance Moore, Shockey has a good shot at getting in on the action in the endzone on Sunday when the Saints go up against the Dolphins. Shockey already has three touchdowns on the season and Brees likes to hit him in redzone situations.

Defense

Oakland Raiders

The Raiders shocked the Philadelphia Eagles last week as they sacked quarterback Donovan McNabb six times and held the high powered Eagles offense to just three field goals. With the Raiders taking on rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez and the New York Jets this week Oakland could have a similar performance pressuring the rookie into a lot of mistakes.
