NFL Fantasy Sleepers Week 16
Quarterback
Vince Young, Tennessee Titans
Once again, Vince Young is our sleeper quarterback this week as the Tennessee Titans try to keep their playoff hopes alive for one more week going up against the San Diego Chargers on Christmas Day.
The Chargers defense is good, but Vince Young has been on fire as of late as he has been able to hurt opposing defenses both with his feet and most surprisingly in the air!
Running Back
Michael Bush, Oakland Raiders
Coming off his best game of the season against the Denver Broncos last week, in place of injured running back Justin Fargas, Bush rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown.
This week we can expect more of the same from Bush as Fargas’ status is still questionable and the Browns defense is about as bad as it gets in the NFL this season.
Wide Receiver
Mike Wallace, Pittsburgh Steelers
Last week the Pittsburgh Steelers rookie wide receiver Mike Wallace had a career game with arguably the best touchdown catch of his professional football career that won the game for the defending champs against the Green Bay Packers to keep the Steelers in the hunt for the AFC Wildcard.
This week the Pittsburgh Steelers are going up against their arch rivals in the Baltimore Ravens in perhaps their biggest game of the season. Ben Roethlisberger’s favorite target in Hines Ward is questionable for this game with a hamstring injury and with that being said Wallace will get another shot to have another huge game.
Tight End
Todd Heap, Baltimore Ravens
Against the Chicago Bears last week, Ravens tight end Todd Heap has his best performance of the season with 56 receiving yards and two touchdowns. This week the Ravens will be going up against a better defense in the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the Baltimore offense is back on track and Heap will most likely get a few good looks in the endzone like he did in week 15.
Defense
Oakland Raiders
This week the Oakland Raiders are coming off a big win over another very good team in the Denver Broncos as they make their way to Cleveland to play against arguably the worst team in the NFL in the Cleveland Browns.
With a few key goal line stands last week, the Raiders shocked the Broncos with a 20-19. This week the Oakland defense should have a field day against the lowly Browns offense who just lost their starting quarterback Brady Quinn for the rest of the season.
