NFL Fantasy Sleepers Week 15
Quarterback
Alex Smith, San Francisco 49ers
It seems like every single week the two quarterbacks that are high on the sleeper category are the Tennessee Titans Vince Young and the San Francisco 49ers Alex Smith. Two young quarterbacks that have been given a second chance after getting benched earlier in their careers.
This week I believe Smith could have a big game against the Philadelphia Eagles as the 49ers try and finish out the season with a promising outlook for next season.
Running Back
Chris Brown, Houston Texans
The running back situation in Houston is a mess right now as their starting Steve Slaton is out for the season, Ryan Moats has had his carries cut due to his fumbling problem and now the majority of the carries to finish the season will go to Arian Foster and most notable Chris Brown.
With Brown possibly getting the bulk of the carries out of the backfield for the Texans against the lowly St. Louis Rams defense this weekend, he could potentially have a very big day!
Wide Receiver
Steve Breaston, Arizona Cardinals
This week the Arizona Cardinals are on the verge of clinching the NFC West title, but they are a little banged up coming into week 15 against the lowly Detroit Lions as superstar wideout Larry Fitzgerald will be nursing a knee injury and might not even play.
If Fitzgerald doesn’t make it on the gridiron this weekend against the Lions, Kurt Warner will be throwing the majority of his passes to Anquan Boldin and Steve Breaston.
Tight End
Dustin Keller, New York Jets
The New York Jets are clinging onto their playoff hopes as they will need to win as many games as possible to finish season. Rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez’s health has been in question this week, but he will be good to go this weekend when they take on the injury riddled Atlanta Falcons.
With Sanchez back on the field, the Jets offense has a chance of putting up a big number this week and tight Dustin Keller could be the recipient of a touchdown pass or two.
Defense
San Francisco 49ers
Last week the San Francisco 49ers defense dismantled the Arizona Cardinals’ potent offense and were the main reason for the big upset on Monday night football. This week the 49ers defense will go up against Donovan McNabb the Philadelphia Eagles offense. San Francisco’s defense dominating two very good offenses in two consecutive weeks is a stretch, but it could happen!
