NFL Fantasy Sleepers Week 14
Quarterback
Bruce Gradkowski, Oakland Raiders
Last week Oakland Raiders newly appointed starting quarterback Bruce Gradkowski led the team to their second consecutive win of the season against a very good opponent in the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers.
The win over Big Ben and company put Bruce Gradkowski on the map in the NFL as he threw for 308 yards and three touchdowns (one was the game winner) with no interceptions. It is still uncertain whether or not Gradkowski can keep this impressive performances going, but I think he is the real deal!
This week the Raiders will play the Washington Redskins in what could be another big performance for Oakland new starting quarterback.
Running Back
Julius Jones, Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks have completely fallen apart this season as they seem to be on the verge of a rebuilding process to get back in contention in the NFC, but in the meantime they have been making the best of their running game with Edgerrin James and Julius Jones.
This week the Seahawks face the Houston Texans who have trouble stopping the run all season long. Jones might not have a huge game, but he should be good for a good chunk of yards and a touchdown this weekend.
Wide Receiver
Devery Henderson, New Orleans Saints
It is extremely hard to pick which receiver in the New Orleans Saints offense will have the best game on a weekly basis, but you really can’t go wrong with Henderson this week when the Saints face off against the Atlanta Falcons who have just fallen apart as of late due to injuries.
Tight End
Ben Watson, New England Patriots
Tom Brady’s health is in question this week when the Patriots take on the Carolina Panthers, but if he is good to go I would suggest starting Watson at tight end as he could be in for what might be a two touchdown game as New England should light up the scoreboard.
Defense
Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins will be playing against the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend which will be a very big game for Miami as they try and compete for the AFC Wildcard and possibly another AFC East title.
Miami is the underdog in this game, but they played brilliantly last week in the win over the New England Patriots. If they can keep it going, the Jaguars will be in trouble in week 14.
