NFL Fantasy Sleepers Week 13

Josh Freeman, Tampa Bay Bucs

A few weeks ago Josh Freeman burst onto the scene in Tampa Bay when he was given the starting job for the Bucs. Since then Freeman has had limited success as a starter, but the kid does have a promising future in this league once he gets some experience under his belt.

This week the Tampa Bay Bucs will go up against lowly Carolina Panthers in a battle of the NFC South’s worst. Regardless of both of these teams going nowhere this season, Freeman has a good possibility of having a good game this weekend.

Running Back

Darren McFadden, Oakland Raiders

This week the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers will go up against the lowly Oakland Raiders. Obviously, the Steelers will be favored to win this game in week 13 against the troubled Raiders, but the Pittsburgh defense hasn’t been what it was last season when they had arguably the best defense in the league.

With that being said the Raiders might be able to expose the holes in the defense much like the Kansas City Chiefs did a couple of weeks ago. As a result, the Oakland running game might be able to get something going with second year man Darren McFadden leading the way.

Wide Receiver

Kenny Britt, Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans are the hottest team in the NFL right now with quarterback Vince Young and running back Chris Johnson torching opposing defenses on a weekly basis. This week the Titans will go up against the undefeated Indianapolis Colts and will be looking to keep their winning streak alive.

Along with Young and Johnson hitting their stride, rookie wide receiver Kenny Britt has also reaped the benefit by being Young’s favorite target in the endzone. This week look for the trend to continue with Britt scoring at least one touchdown.

Tight End

Zach Miller, Oakland Raiders

This weekend the Oakland Raiders will be going up against the defending champion Pittsburgh Steelers. Chances are that they will lose yet another game, but the offense might be able to get something going in the ground game with McFadden and in the air attack with tight end Zach Miller.

If the Raiders do get something on offense expect Miller to get the bulk of the action.

Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos have struggled as of late despite rebounding last week on Thanksgiving Day with an impressive win against the New York Giants. This week they will face the Kansas City Chiefs and will most likely use it as a tune up game to get there season back on track.

The most impressive part of the Broncos game this season has been their play on the defensive side of the football. Against the Chiefs I expect them to dominate on defense.
