This week will be huge for big time fantasy players like Drew Brees, Brett Favre and Adrian Peterson as they will face weak defenses in week 11, but there is a lot of potential for some fantasy sleepers like quarterback Vince Young and tight end Zach Miller.
NFL Fantasy Sleepers Week 11
Quarterback
Vince Young, Tennessee Titans
The Titans have won three straight games since they decided to bench quarterback Kerry Collins in favor of Vince Young. Tennessee has flourished since they added Young back into the mix as the versatile quarterback has gotten back to form and helped the team’s offense lit up the scoreboard. Chris Johnson has been the biggest reason for the Titans recent success, but Young has played mistake free through these three games.
The Titans will go head to head against division rival Houston Texans who have struggled on defense this season, especially stopping the run.
Running Back
LeSean McCoy, Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles running back Brian Westbrook will not have to call it a career due his two consecutive concussions, but he will miss this week’s game against the Chicago Bears. McCoy will take his place once again and should have a good game against a struggling Bears defense.
Wide Receiver
Brandon Gibson, St. Louis Rams
Gibson is a no name wide receiver on arguably the worst team in the league, but this week Gibson will get back into the action once again this week stepping in for the injured Keenan Burton. Last week Gibson played surprisingly well against the New Orleans Saints with seven receptions for 93 yards. Expect more of the same in week 11!
Tight End
Zach Miller, Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders will almost certainly lose this week against arguably one of the best teams in the league in the Cincinnati Bengals, but with backup quarterback Brad Gradkowski taking over this week for the troubled JaMarcus Russell, the Raiders might be able to turn it around and it could start with some chemistry between tight end Zach Miller and Gradkowski.
Defense
Denver Broncos
The Broncos have struggled over the last three weeks with three straight losses to the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Washington Redskins. This week will be huge for the Broncos as the go up against their division rivals in the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers have played very well recently with four straight wins which has put them back in contention in the AFC West with a 6-3 record.
Week 11 will be the biggest game of the season for both these teams as the AFC West title is on the line. Even though the Broncos will most likely be without quarterback Kyle Orton, I believe the Broncos defense will step it up and have a big day against the Chargers.
