Last week was the week of the quarterback in the NFL as the New England Patriots Tom Brady, Minnesota Vikings Brett Favre and most notably New Orleans Saints Drew Brees had huge days for their teams and fantasy owners!
This week might be more of the same as two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL are poised for another big day in week seven. Both the Saints Drew Brees and Indianapolis Colts superstar quarterback Peyton Manning will have huge performances in week seven as they go up against vulnerable defenses in week seven.
Here are the players you should start in week seven:
Start ‘Em
Quarterback
Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
No matter who the New Orleans Saints play for the rest of the season, Brees is must start as no defense has been able to figure how to defend the Saints offense and keep Brees from throwing touchdowns and 300+ yards. Brees will be playing against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday and should light up the scoreboard once again!
Other notable QBs: Peyton Manning, Indianapolis Colts; Tom Brady, New England Patriots
Running Back
Frank Gore, San Francisco 49ers
Starting Gore this week a bit risky as he is coming off an injury and might not be 100% just yet, but the Niners will be going up against the Houston Texans who have had trouble stopping the run all season long. Gore should break a 100 yards and a touchdown or two in this game.
Other notable RBs: Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings; Cedric Benson, Cincinnati Bengals; Ronnie Brown, Miami Dolphins
Wide Receiver
Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis Colts
It would be hard to argue that Wayne hasn’t been the best wide receiver in the league this season and he will display how dominant he can be this weekend when the Colts take on the lowly St. Louis Rams. The Rams will not be able to stop the air attack of Peyton Manning and company and I fully expect Wayne catching one or two touchdowns in week seven.
Other notable WRs: Wes Welker, New England Patriots; Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals; Andre Johnson, Houston Texans
Tight End
Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers
Gates only has two touchdowns this season, but you can deny his ability to absolutely blow up in games and after the Chargers have dropped three games this season they will be looking to get the offense going with Gates being the number one target. Expect Gates to have a huge day against the lowly Kansas City Chiefs in week seven.
Other notable TEs: Dallas Clark, Indianapolis Colts; Jeremy Shockey, New Orleans Saints
Kicker
Nate Kaeding, San Diego Chargers
The Chargers will put up a lot of points on the Chiefs in week seven and as a result Kaeding will have a big day!
Other notable Ks: Stephen Gostkowski, New England Patriots; Matt Stover, Indianapolis Colts
Defense
Minnesota Vikings
Big Ben Roethlisberger has thrown six interceptions this season and I fully expect a few more when he goes up against the tough Minnesota Vikings defense in week seven. Not only will Big Ben struggle against a solid Vikings defense, but the offense as a whole will have a long day ahead of them as the ground game has basically been non existent this season.
Other notable Defenses: Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Chicago Bears
