NCAA College Football Power Rankings
1. Oregon Ducks (12-0) – Big win in the Civil War puts them into the national title game against Auburn.
2. Auburn Tigers (13-0) – Looked very impressive with a blow-out win in the SEC title game.
3. Wisconsin Badgers (11-1) – One of the hottest teams in the country. Will take their talents to Pasadena to play in the Rose Bowl.
4. Texas Christian University (12-0) – The Horned Frogs look to be shut-out of the national title game, but are expected to get a bid to the Rose Bowl.
5. Ohio State Buckeyes (11-1) – Despite not winning the Big Ten, will still likely record a position in a BCS bowl game.
6. Stanford Cardinals (11-1) – Stanford may just be the next best team behind Oregon. We will find out in the national title game, as the Ducks are Stanford’s only loss on the season.
1. Oregon Ducks (11-0) – The nation’s top ranked team stayed unbeaten on Friday with a 19 point win over Arizona. The Ducks are now just a win over rival Oregon State away from a national title game appearance.
2. Auburn Tigers (12-0) – The comeback over rival Alabama was one of the ages. Cam Newton punched his Heisman ticket with the win. Now the Tigers need a win over South Carolina to get a shot at the national championship.
3. Wisconsin Badgers (11-1) – The Badgers just keep pouring it on people. This week, Wisconsin scored 70 points in routing Northwestern. Wisconsin will head to the Rose Bowl.
4. Texas Christian University (12-0) – The Horned Frogs beat up on hapless New Mexico; 66-17. With the win, and the Boise State loss, they will play in a BCS game; most likely the Rose Bowl, against Wisconsin.
1. Cam Newton, Quarterback – Auburn Tigers – Despite all the adversity he has went through this season, the Auburn quarterback is three wins away from leading Gene Chizik’s team to the national title.
2. LaMichael James, Running Back – Oregon Ducks – An explosive runner; leads the top ranked Oregon Ducks offense.
3. Kellen Moore, Quarterback – Boise State Broncos – The Broncos quarterback has been a force for what seems like 10 years. Always steady behind center for Chris Peterson’s under appreciated Broncos.
4. Mark Ingram, Running Back – Alabama Crimson Tide – Last year’s Heisman, that has been beat up most of the season this year. Always a threat to take one to the house.
5. Patrick Peterson, Defensive Back – LSU Tigers – Best defensive player in the country. Seems to be in every spot needed every play. Probably best professional potential in the country.
1. Oregon Ducks (10-0) – Ducks had the week off, and are now preparing for a weekend tilt with Arizona. Just two wins away from the national title game.
2. Auburn Tigers (11-0) – Also with the week off. Will have to win two very tough games to get to the national title game. First, this weekend against Alabama, followed by the SEC title game against South Carolina.
3. Boise State Broncos (10-0) – Blasted Fresno State on Friday night. Now will look to show the nation how good they are, as they take on the Nevada Wolf Pack.
4. Texas Christian University (11-0) – The Horned Frogs had the weekend off. Despite their impressive season, they look to be on the outside looking in with it comes to national title game. The Horned Frogs will take on the hapless Lobos of New Mexico this weekend.
