Preview: The Big 12 will feature a great battle of the two teams from the state of Kansas.

The Kansas Jayhawks are set to travel to Manhattan to battle the Wildcats of Kansas State. Kansas State is looking to get revenge from the blow-out on January 29th when the Jayhawks won 90-66. Kansas hopes to move to the top of the Associated Press polls when they are released Monday. Kansas was ranked #2, only behind Ohio State, but the Buckeyes lost on Saturday to Wisconsin. Kansas is the sixth highest scoring team in the country, averaging 83.9 points per game. Brothers Markeef and Marcus Morris lead the way for Bill Self’s squad. The brothers combine for over 30 points per game and 15 rebounds per game. Kansas has won six straight games since the Texas Longhorns came into Phog Allen Fieldhouse and knocked them off. The Jayhawks are just one game behind the Longhorns for the top spot in the Big 12 standings.

Purdue Boilermakers (18-5) @ Illinois Fighting Illini (16-8)

Preview: The Purdue Boilermakers will head to Champaign to take on the Fighting Illini of Illinois. This game will feature two teams out of the Big Ten, with high hopes come tournament time. Purdue is 18-5 overall, and currently ranked 12th in the Associated Press poll.

The Boilermakers are 8-3 in conference play, tied with the Wisconsin Badgers for second place; trailing only Ohio State. The Boilermakers picked up a 67-53 win over state rival Indiana their last time out. That win came after Purdue was unable to slow down Wisconsin, in Madison. The other two losses for Purdue in conference play came at Ohio State and Minnesota.

Preview: In a massive Big East game, the Pittsburgh Panthers will take on the Villanova Wildcats on Saturday night.

The Pittsburgh Panthers come in with a 22-2 overall record, and 10-1 in Big East play. Pittsburgh holds a 1.5 game lead over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in conference play. Pittsburgh has won three straight games since their January 24th loss to Notre Dame. Pittsburgh in their last three games have downed Rutgers, Cincinnati and West Virginia. The Panthers are led in scoring by Ashton Gibbs and Brandon Wannamaker. The two combine for over 28 points per game. The Pittsburgh offense has been solid this season, ranking 5th in rebounds (41.9) and second in assists (18.4).
