NBA Trade Rumors: Andre Igoudala to the Lakers?

The trade rumors around the NBA have run rampant lately with plenty of big-names being mentioned in potential deals that could the look of the league next season. The biggest name in trade rumors recently has been Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic, but with a lot of uncertainty surrounding his position in Orlando, a deal involving the three-time Defensive Player of the Year might not get done until just before the NBA trade deadline.

The one big-name player that is rumored to be on the trading block and on the verge of getting dealt is Philadelphia 76ers star Andre Igoudala. With Igoudala still having a few years left in him and having the defensive mindset, the 76ers no his value won’t be any higher and now is the perfect time to move him.

With that being said and the fact that second-year man Evan Turner is ready to get into the starting lineup for head coach Doug Collins, the Philadelphia 76ers will almost certainly trade Andre Igoudala either before next season or before the NBA trade deadline. The one rumor that started it all for the defensive-minded forward was a trade sending Monte Ellis to Philly in exchange for Andre Igoudala.

The trade rumors have died down involving Monte Ellis and the Golden State Warriors, but another rumor has popped up instead. This rumor involves the Los Angeles Lakers and reigning Sixth Man of the Year Lamar Odom. Not only is Odom coming off arguably his best season in the NBA, but the Lakers seem ready to move him for the same reason that Philly is looking to move Igoudala.

Along with Lamar Odom, the Philadelphia 76ers would receive Luke Walton to make the numbers match up. Not only would Philly b getting rid of a big contract, but they can just waive Walton and get his overpaid contract off the books. This deal looks good for Philly, but the Lakers might be taking a big hit by letting Odom leave town.
